Italien [ENA] The Twenty-Fifth Winter Olympics will be held in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo from 6 to 22 February 2026. This is a sporting event of great importance, which will see the participation of around 2,900 athletes from over 90 countries around the world.

Valtellina: Livigno (freestyle and snowboarding). Bormio: Bormio 2000 (alpine skiing), Bormio Olympic Ice Stadium (ice hockey). Anterselva/Val Pusteria: Südtirol Arena (biathlon).

Verona: Verona Arena (closing ceremony of the Olympics and opening of the Paralympics). The sports disciplines At the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, 15 sports disciplines will be contested, for a total of 109 events. The sports disciplines are: Alpine skiing, Cross-country skiing, Ski jumping, Nordic combined, Freestyle, Snowboard, Figure skating, Artistic ice skating, Short track, Ice hockey, Biathlon, Curling, Rodibatti. The Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics are an event awaited with great enthusiasm in Italy. The Italian government has invested 2.6 billion euros in the organization of the Games, which promise to be a great sporting and media success.

Italy is a nation with a long tradition in winter sports. He won 100 Winter Olympic medals, including 27 gold. Italian athletes will have the opportunity to compete at home and win new medals for the country.
