Brussels [ENA] BRAFA Art Fair closed on Sunday 2 February 2020 with a new visitor record: 68,000 art enthusiasts who flocked to the Tour & Taxis in Brussels between Sunday 26 January and Sunday 2 February 2020. The overall level of sales was also excellent, growing since the first opening hours.

Among the elements that explain these results, certainly the high quality of the art (key to the organizers' strategy), but also a pricing policy linked to the market. Alongside the unique pieces that touched exceptional prices, such as preparatory drawings of the new "packaging" project of the Arc de Triomphe of Christo, which ranged between 600,000 and 1 million Euros and the works of James Ensor (with prices between 50,000 and 700,000 Euros) collectors can also find works from 2,500 to 25,000 Euros at BRAFA. Italian exhibitors who return home happy with both the organization and the quality level of the public are also satisfied, unanimous in declaring it "cultured, passionate and prepared".

Finally, beyond expectations, the charity auction of the five segments of the Berlin Wall, which raised 326,000 Euros. "We did not expect to exceed 120 / 130,000 Euros" declares Harold t'Kint de Roodenbeke, president of the event "The offers were much more important and they came not only from Belgium, but also from Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and even from a university in the United States! " The amount collected will be divided between five beneficiaries active in the field of cancer research, the integration of disabled people and cultural heritage.
